We are looking for Quality Engineers that ideally have some experience and knowledge of working with a CMM (3 axis co-ordinate measuring machine) however this is not a requirement as full training is provided.
We have various shift patterns available.
Salary: - ??25,000 - ??27,000 per annum, depending on experience
Responsible To: - Site Quality Manager
Main Purpose of Job: -
To ensure that customer part approval requirements for new, modified and maintained tools / parts are met, and delivered in a timely manner.To work in support of businesses improvements and the NPI process through the application of measurement and data collection techniques.To be a key team player working as part of the quality team, coaching and training members of the wider team in the use and application of measuring equipment, fixtures, jigs, gauges and test equipment, in support of continuous improvement and business performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure all duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner within the parameters of current health and safety legislation (HASAW Act 1974)To carry out part and process measurements as required in support of NPI, Production, Customer complaints and returns, using the relevant measurement equipment, fixtures, gauges and techniques.Ensuring that all drawings received are logged into the drawing system and that the team are advised.To understand and interoperate technical drawings, understanding the geometrical tolerances and the product CTQ's as identified by the customer or by the need to produce.To produce the appropriate reports in support of part approval, Capability studies and Customer returns analysis as required by the business and its customers. To carry out process capability studies and component testing, in support of, production control, continuous improvements and customer requirements.
General Duties
Ensure Health & Safety regulations and the company's Instructions and policies are adhered to.Set example of company image with high standards of personal appearance and efficiency in attendance and timekeeping.To perform all other reasonable duties as and when required by the Management Team.
Goals and Objectives
To reduce the cost of quality thus meeting the customer's expectations and improving the performance of the business and measured through:-On time part approval-Timely update of drawing controls / CTQ's-Hours of training delivered
Health & Safety
Understand & carry out individual responsibility.??Notify immediately, any accidents, near misses or hazards and assist in any investigation,??Use and maintain in good condition, protective equipment provided for personal safety.??Keep work area clean & tidy and free from obstructions at all times.
Communication
Take part in briefing sessions as and when required.??Highlighting any information, concerns or problems, which may affect your personal, team or site performance
Development
If required by the company, introduce new employees into the operation training them as required.??Through the appraisal process, identify areas of personal and team development required.??Develop through continuous performance improvements, customer service and operational efficiencies
