LOCATION: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
JOB TITLE: Project Manager
SALARY & BENEFITS: Starting salary GBP30,000 - GBP40,000 per annum + company car
WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm but will need to be flexible
THE COMPANY: Our client is the UK's leading independent specialist Generator Set Manufacturer, producing diesel and gas powered Generating sets up to 3MVA and its leading power projects company supplying Generating Sets and LV equipment across the UK and worldwide. They now have a Project Manager vacancy based at their Sheffield factory.
THE ROLE: Working as a part of their Project team, they require a Project Manager to manage their Power Generation and Low Voltage Switchgear installation projects. Their clients are based throughout the UK and therefore you will be required to undertake some UK travel.
Key Responsibilities of a Project Manager to include:-
• Account management
• Cost/programme management
• Management of sub contractors.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful applicant will have an engineering background, ideally degree qualified or equivalent. Our client's specialist product and approach mean the successful candidate will have a track record to match. Knowledge of Diesel Generating Sets and the UK electricity utility sector would be a distinct advantage. The first and foremost qualities of the ideal candidate will be high degree of initiative, self-motivation and enthusiasm.
Key experience essential for the role of Project Manager based in Sheffield:
• Must have a driving licence(preferably clean but minor points may be accepted)
• Will ideally have a relevant degree.
• Must have an engineering background.
• Must be able to read/interpret technical drawings.
• Will be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
