Turning Point Scotland is a national social care charity providing services to people with addictions, learning disabilities, mental health issues, those in the criminal justice system and those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Our Learning Disability, Autism, Mental Health, Physical Disability and Children’s services support people who have a range of complex needs, using a person-centred approach. We provide choice to enable independence so that people can access everyday life experiences including education, employment and social activities, developing relationships and maintaining a home.

Support Worker Grade 1

• Part Time: Up to 35 hours per week. Ref: DGW/16/13.
• Salary: £14,722 - £15,343 pro rata, per annum (£7.28 - £7.56 per hour) - (Salary under review: £8.25 minimum).
• No previous experience is necessary.
• Location: Dumfries and Galloway – Wigtownshire area.

Support may be required to support people on holidays, this post will include sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and unsocial hours and you may be away from home for periods of up to 24 hours.

This post will include personal care. Good housekeeping and cooking skills are also essential.
