Quality Assurance Auditor (Fixed Term Contract until end of March 2017)
Reporting into QA Manager (Whey/Cheese)
Based at: Davidstow
Purpose of Job
- To verify all process testing at Davidstow.
- Maintain audits to a schedule as required
- To ensure all process testing is carried out to the required level.
- To ensure Davidstow meets the GMP standard as per central technical manual.
- To develop Davidstow to a QA culture.
- To ensure all products produced meet customer and legal requirements.
- To maintain sampling plan and ensure third party lab receives relevant samples and paperwork.
- To maintain oracle with all production and micro, and chemistry information.
Nature & Scope of the Job
- To carry out verification and testing of cheese, whey powder, whey butter and associated processes to defined testing schedules and standard methods.
- To comply with all relevant aspects of the sites' standards
- To carry out verification of any processes sampling required.
- To notify technical officer/ site management of out of specification results in a timely manner.
- Working to standard rota.
- Schedules of verification
- Inspection and test
- Calibration and reference testing
- Results recording and reporting (including oracle maintenance and development)
- Investigation and Corrective Action as appropriate
- Quality Manual and content
Factory environmental standards: -
- Swabbing, ATP monitoring, Housekeeping and hygiene assessments,
Factory environmental swabbing
- In-process aseptic sampling
- Training operators and engineers against a procedures
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure and audit the site maintains GMP standards
- Ensure and audit processing testing is maintained
- Develop relationships with factory
- Ensure consistent developments with departmental managers
- Develop partnerships with external suppliers / customers
- Challenge and develop and audit systems at Davidstow
- Champion a project and fulfill to completion
Knowledge & Experience Required
- Previous experience required although a good standard of education is essential and also a good knowledge of IT
- 4 G.C.S.E.'s
- Two years experience in the Food Industry,
- Internal Audit Qualified,
- Knowledge of HACCP
