Job Summary:

Our client, a leading environmental and engineering consultancy, are seeking to bolster their Ecology Team in the South/Midlands with a number of Bat Licenced Ecologists. They are looking for a number of consultants for their team, ranging from an early career Consultant to an experienced Principal.

They are currently delivering on projects across the infrastructure, transport, energy and property sectors, and ecologists with a successful track record delivering high-quality assessments and advice to clients in (but not limited to) one or more of these sectors are needed.

Responsibilities:

* Design and deliver Bat specific surveys for a variety of projects
* Delivery of a wider range of ecological work
* Collaborate with staff from a wide range of disciplines
* Feed into EIAs and HRAs
* Delivery of bat work in the Southern remit of the team

* More senior consultants will be expected to manage and mentor other staff, and provide project management and business development expertise.

Qualifications:

* Degree educated in Ecology or a related discipline (further post-grad qualifications desirable)
* Experience in survey design and delivery for bat sites
* Natural England Survey license for bats (Class 2 and above)
* CIEEM Membership (working towards Chartership advantageous)
* Full UK driving license

* Mentoring and management experience (more senior positions)
