Credit Control Manager

My client, a large organisation based in Radstock, are looking for a Credit Manager to join their team.This role will see you responsible managing the credit control and invoicing teams ensuring that the business's cash flow is optimised and that sales invoices are billed on a timely basis and recorded accurately. The credit control department is responsible for billing and collecting.This role will see you performing within an organisation that can offer you exposure on a global scale and experience within a growing and reputable organisation.For more details on this role, please read on!Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities 1. Manage credit control teams (approximately 9 staff in total - supported by a Collections Supervisor). 2. Motivate teams, calculate cash collection targets and review performance against those targets.3. Optimise cash collections from customers for the business.4. Review and propose any amendments to company credit control policies providing support for any proposed changes identified. 5. Monitor and review all aspects of the sales and billing process. Highlight and work to resolve any weaknesses or problems identified.6. Responsible for the monthly close-down of the sales ledger and daily system reconciliations to the general ledger.7. Production of monthly debtor analysis for Finance Manager8. Manage disputes process.9. Liaise with internal and external parties as necessary including customers, cash collection agencies, solicitors, credit rating agencies, Directors and external auditors.10. Deal with difficult accounts personally and escalate in liaison with relevant departments as necessary.11. Work with multiple currencies within one ledger.The ideal candidate would meet the following criteria:??? Proven experience of managing a credit control team in a complex organisation.??? ICM qualified or other Accounting qualification.??? Excellent interpersonal skills in order to manage the team and communicate tactfully but firmly with departments external to Finance.??? Have a working knowledge of VAT and issues in dealing with billing of clients based overseas.??? Pro-active self-starter with a strong drive to achieve results.??? Ability to learn and absorb information in detail quickly. ??? Ability to organise own workload and meet demanding deadlines and targets whilst maintaining high levels of organisation as well as accommodating multiple tasks.??? Able to critically evaluate procedures and controls both within credit control to be able to highlight weaknesses or improve processes.???
