Role: Electronic & Electrical Systems Engineers Salary: TBC + attractive package Relocation Allowance: Up to ??8,000 Locations: Bristol Our client is seeking individuals with a broad base of Electrical and Electronic Engineering skills, ideally with knowledge and experience of working within the defence industry, though they are eager to see applications from outside the defence industry too. To be considered you should be able to demonstrate extensive skills as an Electrical Engineer that are transferable to a defence environment - Any exposure to complex systems from an Automotive, Rail Oil and Gas, telecoms and Aerospace background for example would be perfect. From your recent roles you must be able to demonstrate that your Electrical Engineering knowledge is not purely hands on: You must be able to show where and how you have reviewed and enhanced plans etc. not just implemented them. At the more senior level the role require you to show leadership & management with in an Engineering environment too. Key to these positions is your ability to review designs and enhance their application, this must at all time take in to account Safety aspects and again at the senior level demonstrable skills in making Safety Critical Decisions will be required. Exposure to the full lifecycle of a project is highly desirable. To be considered you must hold an engineering qualification - HNC or higher The range of responsibilities will typically include: Deliver new and sustain existing capabilities that are safe to operate.Researching and preparing technical requirements and options reviewing and approving contractors' designs and plans, managing the collation of data to support the acceptance of equipment into service.Providing technical advice on material properties, testing techniques and remedial actions.Providing expertise on equipments, systems and platforms and their safety implications to meet the needs of the client, including compliance with the statutory and regulatory framework.
