Production Operative

Production Operatives Required - Frome, SomersetOur client is the UK's leading dairy foods company, producing a range of market leading brands including Cathedral City, Country Life and Clover. Due to continuing business requirements, they now have fantastic opportunities for Level 2 and 3 Production Operatives to join their team in Frome, Somerset.Frome is a key site in within the company responsible for supplying branded and retailer value added packed cheese. Packing circa 9500 tonnes of cheese across circa 10 different product categories ranging from convenience meal solutions, everyday block to adult and children's snacking. Production Operative Responsibilites:- Level 3 Production Operatives will be required to have the ability to run competently 3 or more production lines and show team members how to carry out tasks in own area of expertise- Level 3 Production Operatives will train, support and be involved in the assessment by providing feedback on others in both the use of specific pieces of equipment- Ensure Health & Safety and Hygiene policies are adhered to along with general rules and regulations- Understand and observe health and safety rules and be aware of the safety of self and others to promote a safe working environment- Fulfil tasks and operations as detailed within the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Description form- Ensure product quality and productivity is maintained at the agreed set levels and standards- Log in all mouldy blocks for weekly reconciliation- Make simple inspections and advise others if unsure so they can take appropriate action as required to contribute to the production of quality product- Carry out routine and ad hoc tasks within well-defined procedures and operating instructions, flagging up any problem areas for others to take action- Issue product and materials using appropriate equipment between manufacturing stages to achieve production targets- Set-up, changeover and operate equipment within standard operating procedures to achieve required outputs- Carry out cleaning of machines and asset care to laid down procedures and schedules- Understand and perform housekeeping and hygiene activity to plant and surrounding work areas to meet required schedules and standardsThe ideal Production Operative:- May include NVQ 1 and NVQ 2- Chartered Institute of Environmental Health: 1. Basic Health & Safety 2.
