Your tasks and responsibilities To assist the Stores Operatives by performing all functions within the Stores, Transport and Stock Checking processes for the full range of aircraft components, consumables, jigs, tools and raw materials. Your tasks and responsibilities: The purpose of this role is to provide supplementary assistance to the Stores OperativesTo Store, Transport and Stock Check the full range of aircraft components, consumables, jigs, tools and raw materials within an AW production storeShortage reporting of commercial materials such as consumables, packaging material and boxes etcEnsure areas are kept clean and tidyEnsure handling and storage of items does not cause deterioration to the productEnsure there is sufficient packaging and preservation for protection of the productEnsure product identification is kept at all timesEnsure hazardous material is clearly identified and has Material Safety Data Sheets with them at all timesAdhere to the requirements of the Company Operating System for the handling of ammunition, pyrotechnics, explosives, weapons and associated armament equipmentPerform daily check of forkliftsCheck emergency stop buttons on stores machineryUtilise the TC Max electronic tool control software for tool control, tool transfers, stock accuracy, stock replenishment ordersMaintain issues and receipts to/from the correct users and work locations including visitorsReplenishment of consumable racks Your skills and experience Experience of working in a Warehouse EnvironmentExperience with AW computer systemBasic knowledge / understanding of Stores, Transportation and Stock Checking processesBasic knowledge of the Company Operating System, Health and Safety and Handling ProceduresBasic computer literacyWell disciplined, particularly when entering computer transactionsAbility to help with and suggest methods of improvementProblem solvingGood at working in a team and ability to pass on knowledge and informationCommunication, primarily internal, occasionally external personnelGood use of Lean and Six Sigma Tools and Techniques With over 69,000 employees at some 1,200 locations in over 100 countries, the Kuehne + Nagel Group is one of the world's leading logistics companies.
