Internal Communications Officer

Working on behalf of a Police Constabulary, Aatom Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Internal Communications Officer. Commencing in January 2017 pending vetting clearances this will maternity cover of up to 12 months. The hourly rate is ??16.24 per hour PAYE for 37 hour working week; which is equivalent to ??31,245.76 salary. Umbrella or ltd rates available from ??19 per hour. We are looking for an experienced communications professional to develop and deliver force-wide internal communications to keep our team informed and engaged and encourage a dialogue between officers and staff at all levels of the organisation. About you You are passionate about the power of good internal communications and have the professional and creative expertise to make sure that we communicate with our staff in an engaging and accessible way. Working with senior managers you will develop messages and channels to reach all staff, support external communications officers and have editorial responsibility for the staff magazine. You will have experience of multi-media campaigns and event management, plus the ability to write creative briefs and communication plans. You are a self-starter with good prioritisations skills and an exceptional attention to detail.You should be of graduate calibre or have equivalent experience and skills in the field of communications as well as substantial experience of working in internal communications within a large and complex organisation.You will have previous experience of developing an intranet and operating web and intranet based content management systems, an advanced knowledge of 'writing for the web' guidelines and be experienced in adapting your writing style for different audiences and channels.Holding a full current driving licence or be able to travel around the force area using alternative transport is essential.
