THE ROLE: Our client is currently recruiting for Senior Residential Childcare Workers to join their team in Halifax, Wakefield or Huddersfield. The role is a demanding yet rewarding role, you will be required to develop relationships with the young people and provide a safe caring environment for them.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Residential Childcare Workers based in Halifax, Wakefield or Huddersfield:-
THE CANDIDATE: To be successful in the role Senior Residential Childcare Workers you need to be an organised and tolerant individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships. You must hold your NVQ or QCF 3 in Children and young people in care and have at least 1 year's recent residential experience working with young people.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Residential Childcare Workers based in Halifax, Wakefield or Huddersfield:-
- Encourage and support the young people with all of their daily living needs in line with their individual care plan
- Implement and maintain clear and consistent boundaries
- Be the first point of contact for the young persons' social worker
- Assisting with reports on progress, developing in-house placement plans, and contributing to statutory review reports
- Providing the young people with emotional and social support
- Recording the young people's daily and monthly progress and updating their files and child protection records
- Work closely with your manager and team, and all other healthcare professionals
- Carry out domestic duties when required within the home and garden, as well as planning and preparing meals

- Experience of working with children in residential childcare would be desirable
- You must have a QCF or NVQ level 3 award in Health and Social Care: Children and Young People and 1 years' residential experience.
- A full UK Driving Licence is not essential, but would be desirable
