Our client is the only UK Manufacturer of 4 wheeled metal bins used extensively throughout the UK and exported on a global basis. They have ambitious plans to expand the business both domestically and internationally over the next 2-3 years.

Role Summary
Be the business gatekeeper for all Commercial agreements, with the authority to challenge at all levels price management and governance, embracing margin performance as a key priority of the role.

Central to the role's responsibilities is to review all trading terms and contracts for domestic and export customers to ensure they are up to date and in the case of export agency agreement withdrawn if they are under performing.

Work with the CEO & FD to develop the pricing architecture for the Group with the objective of moving from a manual to systemised process, creating new reports and KPIs that bring greater visibility to owners and non performing agreements.

Main Purpose
Pricing

• Be the main internal point of contact for ALL pricing, remedying all queries within agreed deadlines
• Develop ISO 9001 compliant systems and processes to control the setting and release of ALL contract pricing both Domestic and Export, ensuring the latest versions of Price Lists are in use and protecting the security of pricing information
• Develop and manage the business processes and systems for improving the professionalism and accuracy of Pricing and Quotations, ensuring all Supporting Documentation is processed in a timely fashion
• Maintain a regular dialogue with purchasing and finance to review supplier costs, ensure we achieve the best possible buy prices from suppliers, apply the correct exchange rates, and ensure the pricing we offer is set to achieve our target margins.
• Translate purchase pricing from Distribution Partners, in conjunction with the commercial directors, into selling prices taking into account foreign exchange, freight & duty and margin expectations.

Tenders

• Monitor OJEU alerts for tenders, analyse for relevant tenders, express interest for relevant tenders and submit bids in conjunction with CEO or In-Country Manager
• Prepare and submit tenders and quotes to the highest possible standard and always within the required response deadlines
• Ensure that information on tenders and renewal dates is stored in the CRM system according to agreed processes

Back Office Support

• Support Export Administration Coordinator with quotations, proposals, presentations, customer filing and customer profiling
• Support Export Meetings and Presentations where required
• General back office support for Internal Export Manager and In country Managers.
• Sales analysis

Candidate profile:

• Results focused
• Commercially and geographically aware
• Experienced with preparing and submitting OJEU Tenders
• Experienced with E-Tendering (training will be provided if necessary)
• Strong eye for detail
• Good networker and team player, tenacious and able to handle very strong personalities and egos, so as to give ownership and responsibility for intended actions and not to be fobbed off or watered down, to achieve win-win outcomes for the business
• Able to win the buy-in and co-operation of all departments whose involvement is crucial to the delivery of projects
• Excellent project management and planning skills
• Excellent time management/organisational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Fluent written and spoken English and excellent English comprehension. Second language preferable but not essential
• Ability to act independently and apply own initiative
