Fircroft is a residential college occupying a former Cadbury family home, set in six acres of beautiful grounds in Selly Oak, Birmingham. We were originally founded to provide educational opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged and excluded members of society.
One hundred years on from the birth of Fircroft College, its mission of 'social justice' is more relevant than ever. Fircroft is a thriving College with a vast and diverse community of learners.
Over the coming year, we are completing an exciting phase of improvement and development. We are seeking to appoint a Student Services Team Leader for advice and admissions to lead a responsive and customer focussed service for all students and visitors to the College.
Main duties of the role include being responsible for the delivery of an inclusive, accessible, safe and customer focussed centre, leading on the College's Information, Advice and Guidance provision (including Matrix re accreditation) and ensuring that the College's Admissions processes are followed.
To be considered for this role you must have experience of delivering a successful customer service provision and experience of dealing with a range of people with different, complex requirements. You also need to have experience of delivering Information, Advice and Guidance to students, strong communication and IT skills, and have a good understanding of the Equality Act 2010, Safeguarding and Prevent legislation. You must be able to work flexibly and cope with difficult situations.
The right person will be a completer/finisher who enjoys working at a fast pace with a variety of different tasks, who is self-managed with a strong work ethic, a positive outlook and a 'can do' attitude.
Benefits at Fircroft include free parking, free cooked lunch, free hot drinks, generous annual leave entitlement, a friendly and unique working environment, childcare voucher scheme, and a company pension scheme among many other benefits.
If you meet the criteria above and would like to apply for this role please press "Apply" and we shall email you our application pack.
