LOCATION: Spalding / Long Sutton area
JOB TITLE: Roadside / Recovery Technician
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP24,000 - GBP34,000
WORKING HOURS: 6 on 3 off (shifts) or 4 on 4 off (shifts)
THE COMPANY: Our client provides a specialist recovery service from their depots in King's Lynn, Spalding and Sutton Bridge and pride themselves on their excellent customer service and reputation
Over the past 23 years they have made a continued commitment to develop and update a comprehensive fleet of recovery vehicles making them one of the biggest in the area.
THE ROLE: Due to exciting commercial success and growth a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Roadside / Recovery Technician to join this well respected company to cover the Spalding / Long Sutton and surrounding area on a 24/7 call out basis. The post holder will be working from home and have their own vehicle.
You will be home based around the Spalding / Long Sutton or surrounding area for calls outs when required.
*Due to this role being home based you must have the faculties to keep the recovery vehicle or van at home"
Key Responsibilities for the Roadside / Recovery Technician to include:-
• Receiving jobs either over the phone or on a PDA
• Attending broken down vehicles or road traffic accidents
• Carry out roadside / home breakdowns, repairs and diagnostics ,
• Moving vehicle and taking customer where they need to go
• Accurately completing paperwork, job sheets and condition reports on arrival
THE CANDIDATE:As Roadside / Recovery Technician a you will be a committed and incredibly hard working individual who is naturally affable and able to maintain a good level of customer service. You will be expected to be presentable at all times and uphold a 'can-do' attitude. You will also be based around the Spalding / Long Sutton area,
Key experience essential for the Roadside / Recovery Technician role:
• Licence to drive up to 7.5 tonne or up to 3.5 tonne with trailer licence ( Trailer Training is available)
• Recovery driving experience is advantageous but not essential
• Sound Mechanical knowledge essential
• A presentable and tidy appearance
• Good customer service skills
Happy to undertake an enhanced Police/ DBS check ( this is contractual requirement by the Police force due to the nature of contracted work undertaken)
