We are one of the largest Further Education Colleges in the UK with more than 21,400 learners studying with us on a wide range of courses. Our mission is to equip people with the skills they need to be successful in education, in work and business and in their personal lives.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Chef with a level 3 qualification or equivalent in the vocational area, who can demonstrate both general cookery and pastry skills to join our existing team. The role will involve establishing and maintaining effective learning and assessment activities to keep learners motivated.
You will be training and assessing learners in our award winning fine dining Taste restaurant, Zest café bistro and our formal training kitchens. We offer a range of vocational courses from entry level to level 3,
You will be expected to develop training materials to meet individual learner needs and facilitate innovative sessions that motivate learners.
You will need to have a flexible approach to working and the ability to prioritise your workload to meet assessment deadlines and timely completion of paperwork.
Candidates need to have a Level 2 or GCSE equivalent in English and Maths, experience of training and assessing, transferring skills to others or assessing qualifications.
Candidates will be expected to attend ongoing training and development activities to maintain competence in assessment practice and the subject area.
