Groundscare Mechanic / Engineer

A leading supplier to the groundscare industry across the north of England, are now looking at recruiting a Groundscare Mechanic / Engineer as part of their growing team in the North West.

There is an opportunity for an experienced service engineer to work as part of a specialist team working on various types of professional Groundcare machinery both in the depot and on site across the North West. Due to the nature of the work the successful applicant must be a team player and have excellent mechanical skills.

The successful applicant will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them with maximum reliability and functionality.

As a Groundscare Mechanic / Engineer your duties and responsibilities will be:

• Field based travelling across Lancashire, Merseyside & Manchester
• Deliver excellent customer service & communication
• Open to work flexible hours at times when required
• To carry out ‘other’ varied activities as they arise

An ideal Groundscare Mechanic / Engineer will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Previous experience within the Groundcare industry is preferred (diagnostics / servicing)
• Experience using computer diagnostic software
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems including hydrostatic drive systems
• Knowledge of petrol and diesel engines
• Knowledge of 12v electrical systems
• Ability to work to demanding deadlines
• Ability to work on both own initiative and as part of a team
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions

Additional skills

• Clean driving license
• Trailer license
• Interpersonal skills – cheerful with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Ability to learn and adapt to new challenges
• Flexible to changes in working hours and travel when required
• Ambitious, keen, willing to learn

Applicants must hold a valid full UK driving license, Cat BE an advantage and be willing to travel in company vehicle across area as required.
