Healthcare Assistant
We are currently looking for a Healthcare Assistant in our Fiveways branch, working 25 hours per week . Reporting to the Pharmacist Manager your overall responsibility will be to maximise sales by effective merchandising as well as maintaining adequate stock levels and good housekeeping.
The working pattern is:
Monday 08:30am - 17:30pm, Tuesday and Friday 08:30am - 18:00pm.
The role will also involve establishing and developing long term relationships with customers ensuring to always deliver courteous and effective customer service. You will be required to offer advice on medication by asking appropriate questions and involving the Pharmacist when necessary.
As you will be the first point of contact for customers, you will be expected to update your product knowledge in order to provide accurate advice. You will also need to comply with company promotional activities.
In this role you will be required to follow till processes including sales, cashing up, running reports and completing cash sheets weekly. Your daily tasks will include stock management which will include ordering, date checking, following shrinkage procedures and implementing price changes when prompted. You may be asked to participate in health living events and the delivery of additional commercial services such as blood pressure checks or weight management.
To be employed as a Healthcare Assistant in Rowlands Pharmacy you need a minimum of an accredited Medicine Counter Assistant (MCA) certificate. Rowlands Pharmacy company policy requires that you also have a Medicine Counter Assistant Plus (MCA+) certificate.
The successful applicant for this role will be required to:
Have the appropriate qualifications or;
Be willing to be enrolled onto relevant training on commencement of employment on a trainee pay scale until course completion.
