The UK business currently operates predominantly in the aerospace sector in Bristol, where it provides a range of consultancy services across the engineering lifecycle.
Opportunities are available to join our engineering team where you will take a number of responsibilities for the design, verification & support of aerospace systems on behalf of our growing client base. With the prospect of working across a number of disciplines, including fluid mechanics, electrical power, cockpit displays, and control and indication systems, you will be able to develop your career on both a technical and professional basis.
TYPICAL TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
???Defining and tracking requirements
???Writing system development and Verification & Validation (V&V) plans
???Producing technical documentation and follow-up of modifications
???Managing equipment and systems evolutions
???Investigating in-service incidents
???Coordinating with system and equipment suppliers
???Monitoring supplier and integration tests
???Analysing data
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
???Knowledge of physical systems in an aerospace environment, ideally specialising in areas such as avionics, electrical power, fluid mechanics or similar
???Ability to gather and collate information
???Ability to communicate effectively in English and with a variety of nationalities across multiple time zones
???Ability to develop excellent relationships with customers & suppliers
???Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to show your own initiative
???Ability to take a proactive approach to dealing with day to day tasks
???Ability to take the lead on your own project
???Customer focused
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
???A degree in Engineering or similar education in a relevant field of studies
???Experience in an aerospace systems engineering environment.
???Experience in requirement-based engineering / product development cycle (V&V cycle)
???Knowledge of qualification and validation / test experience/ aviation safety
???Knowledge of any of the following: DO160, DO178, DO254, ARP4754, AFDX/ARINC 664, ARINC 429, DOORS, MATLAB
???Knowledge of data communications (Physical means, protocols and gateways)
???Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or actively working towards one of these
