Electrical Design Engineer

Successful test, measurement and control engineering business are looking for an experienced electrical design engineer to support new contracts and growing their technical team. Due to strong sales performance, they are looking to increase its engineering team, which has been built around engineering bespoke test equipment for key industries. This new role is key to achieving its success in delivering high quality engineering solutions to some of the world's most prestigious engineering businesses. This role will report directly to the engineering design director and forms a key part of the engineering design team.

The successful candidate will be tasked with taking engineering requirements from customers and designing bespoke electrical solutions that are able to me manufactured within time and cost constraints. This will involve the use of both consumer off the shelf (COTS) components as well as custom design interfaces. The role will involve the creation of electrical schematics and fault finding to allow the manufacturing team to bring to life your designs.

This important role will provide an opportunity to design and engineer a wide range of bespoke products which allows our customers to benefit from their high quality engineered solutions that are consistently delivered on time, in full. Candidates must have a history of success in similar roles, be self-motivated and have a passion for engineering and delivering projects on time.

Key requirements
- Previous experience of working within one of the following - Aerospace, Marine, Commercial, Subsea, Defence, Oil & Gas
- Experience of control and instrumentation design.
- Experience of bespoke complex assemblies.
- Creation of schematic drawings and diagrams.
- Electrical design of test equipment experience.
- Experienced in electrical
- Experience of system test and fault finding
- Electrical design to complete system level.
- Creation of work instructions.
- Team player with drive to progress to senior level.
