Our Client is a large, and growing, specialist land-based College, with centres throughout Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Tees Valley.
They currently have an opportunity available for a Lecturer in Animal Management (Research Methods / Statistics) to join them based at their York campus.
Within the role you will carry out the responsibilities of a full-time Lecturer in statistics / research methods (predominantly) and animal related subjects, planning and supervising the learning experience of our students and contributing fully to the promotion of and continued success of the College.
Assisting with the development of the curriculum within the Section, you must ensure all administrative responsibilities associated with lecturing are completed and participate in training and development courses, research, secondment and personal contact in order to keep up to date in technical and education expertise.
Candidates for this role must be educated to level six in Animal Management or other relevant subject, hold level 2 qualifications in Numeracy and Literacy (or be willing to work towards these) and hold a Teaching Certificate or be committed to gaining one within a required time frame. With experience of teaching statistics and research methods and of using statistical software packages, you should have a background of working within the animal-related industry and have excellent communication skills.
