Post: Learning Support Mentor
Contract type: 30 hours per week, Term Time Only plus all INSET days
Fixed term contract until 31 August 2017
Monday to Friday 8.50am - 3.15pm
Start date: Immediate (or as soon as possible)

The Governing Body of Saint Gregory's Catholic College are recruiting for a talented and enthusiastic Learning Support Mentor to join our supportive and friendly team.
The successful candidate will work flexibly within the Student Support Service to meet a range of student needs and to assist the SENCo, SEND Manager and teaching staff in the support and integration of students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above including English and mathematics and have the flexibility to contribute to in-class support and supporting students with SEND.
Applications are invited from individuals who are currently either working as a Learning Support Mentor/Teaching Assistant or an exceptional and aspiring education professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and can demonstrate:
- Experience of individual or group work with children, young people and families;
- An understanding of child and family dynamics and child development;
- Ability to relate well to both children and adults.
