The Role
The Education Sales Consultant is a home based role, you will work closely with the internal and external sales teams and independently to identify, prospect, and secure business opportunities to strategically driving new and existing school sales. This successful candidate will undertake demonstrations in new potential schools, represent the company at local and national exhibitions, drive engagement with learning trusts and local authorities and support our existing community of users.
Responsibilities
- Conducts demonstrations and sales calls both independently and jointly with field sales
- Identifies prospects and develop relationships to secure new business
- Undertake sales calls and in-school demonstrations
- Conducting school drop ins and follow up calls for user schools
- Deliver bespoke presentations
- Proactively follow up activity from marketing and sales campaigns
- Meet/exceed targets and KPIs
- Build in-depth knowledge of their education based solutions
- Identify new sales opportunities through referral from existing community of users.
- Support the channel sales team to leverage and engage with in-territory resellers, where appropriate, to maximize account coverage and optimize the opportunity within the territory
- Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly updates and reports
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching and learning environment
- Self-motivated individual who exhibits sense of urgency in all sales and service related activity
- Exceptional communication, presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Strong emphasis on the ability to listen and present appropriate solutions
- Understanding of classroom technology and infrastructure
Educational: Degree, 'A' Level and GCSE Qualifications
Experience: Teaching experience, with strong curriculum knowledge and a good understanding of the educational technology sector.
Office Based: No
