Our Army teams travel all round the world, working on special missions, supporting humanitarian operations and taking part in adventurous training. And whatever the task, they'll need a lot of equipment. Join us as a full-time Warehouse Distribution Assistant and you'll control the picking, packing and delivery of food, weapons, equipment, vehicle parts or leisure gear. It's an essential role with lots of responsibility, and you will get valuable qualifications and key skills along the way. You could travel to destinations around the world providing logistics management expertise that is essential to getting the job done. Because wherever the Army is, we need Logistics Specialists there too.
BECOME A BETTER YOU
You'll learn how to control the flow of the Army's combat provisions and become an expert in warehouse management and stock-room software. You'll anticipate demand in tactical situations and develop storage techniques for combat supplies. You'll also be taught to operate forklifts and mechanical handlers. No matter what Regiment you serve with, you'll be providing skills that are crucial to our progress. And off duty, you'll find there are plenty of sports teams for you and your mates to join.
WORLD-CLASS TRAINING
Starting with basic training, you'll learn the vital soldier skills that will help you survive outdoors, while developing your stamina and fitness. Once you've mastered the basics, you'll get special training in combat logistics and warehouse management. And you'll learn to drive large goods vehicles on all terrains at the Defence School of Transport. The experience you gain in this role will make you highly employable in the civilian world.
GAIN QUALIFICATIONS
The Army will pay for you to gain valuable recognised qualifications. These could include:
• Level 2 Certificate Logistics & Transport
• Affiliate Membership of CILT
• Level 2 Apprenticeship Warehousing and Storage
