Electronics Design Engineer

An industry leading electronics organisation are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer.

You will be joining an established and developing team where you will be bringing new ideas and an innovative approach.

Main responsibilities

Preparation and execution of design and development plans including task duration and resource estimates to the project manager

Working with the design team to provide electro-mechanical design support in new product development with manufacturing, assembly and test

Responsibility for ensuring EMC compliance on new designs in order to achieve certification on new products and to maintain certification for existing products

Responsible for the design of electronic hardware for new and existing products. This includes circuit schematic design and PCB layout

What we are looking for

Desired skills/experience:

High speed digital and analogue hardware design
Analogue and Digital Design 
Comms protocols, USB, Ethernet, WiFi, LVDS
Design for commercial IT equipment EMC compliance
Schematic design & multilayer PCB layout experience

If you have any of the following it will be highly desirable:

VHDL, C++
DFM/DFT, cost reduction 
PCB/PCBA manufacturer liaison
Rigorous improvement techniques eg 6 sigma
