This FTSE Listed insurance organisation are looking to appoint a new Head of Finance into their Group office. A very broad role managing a small team and reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller; this position offers huge variety and will act as an excellent stepping stone to your wider career.
Primarily responsible for the day to day management of the finance function, key accountabilities will include:
* Overseeing the production of the Group's consolidated accounts, including;
* Annual report and accounts
* Interim statement
* Annual 5-year plan
* Annual budget
* Monthly management accounts and reforecasts
* Proactively managing the planning, budgeting and forecasting process and external audit
* Managing the financial control environment for the Group
* Keeping up to date with developments/changes in external financial reporting guidelines - particular focus on IFRS
* Actively manage and develop a team of 3
* Consistently improving processes and efficiencies
Key requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with minimum 5 years' PQE
* Ideally experience working within a listed company
* Ability to provide an in-depth understanding of current business, including commercial and regulatory landscapes
* Experience working within financial reporting and planning software
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to adapt effectively in a fast decision making and entrepreneurial environment
