We are a well established business supplying and maintaining complex PLC Controlled Industrial Electro/Mechanical machines and systems to a wide range of industrial sectors within UK and Ireland. We pride ourselves on supplying a world leading brand of bespoke equipment and offering excellent after sales support with service contracts, spares and technical assistance.

The Multi-Skilled Service Engineer role:

The role will be ‘customer facing’ and will need to promote the company, its machines/systems and services at all times; will be part of a multi-skilled team; and be mechanically biased.

> Detailed planning of service schedules
> Maintenance of servicing resources
> Working within Quality Assured systems
> Liaison with customers
> Planning and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules
> Preparation of Risk Assessments & Work Method Statements
> Liaison with machine manufacturers on technical issues
> Update and prepare service schedules and check sheets
> Site based service, repair and maintenance work
> Fault-finding and resolution of breakdown situations
> Work under own supervision and initiative
> Callout and telephone support

Background:

To be considered for this role, the candidate should have practical experience of working on high value capital equipment within a process critical high volume manufacturing environment, with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics skills. Understand the need to conform to H&S Requirements when working on client sites. Excellent communication skills and an ability to work individually or within a team environment and be diligent and conscientious in their work ethic. 

Multi-Skilled Service Engineer - Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

> Mechanical Engineering - HNC/HND or equivalent
> Electronics/electrical - City & Guilds or equivalent
> Pneumatics - City & Guilds or equivalent
> Hydraulics - City & Guilds or equivalent
> Time Served Apprenticeship in a relevant role.
> Fully PC literate including Microsoft office
> Clean, valid UK Driving License a necessity
