An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fermentation Technologist to join their committed successful team in Widnes , Cheshire.
THE ROLE: We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated Fermentation Technologist to join the team at our site in Ditton, Widnes. The role holder will work in the production department responsible for our 24/7 Fermentation facility.
Using your strong expertise in Industrial Biotechnology you will be responsible for improving existing and establishing new processes, monitoring, maintaining plant and equipment, and taking appropriate proactive or reactive measures to maintain and improve performance/ efficiencies. It is expected that you will maintain safe methods of working and adhere to SHE and quality standards on site at all times.
This role will evolve over time where you will be supported and developed into line managing a team of process operatives.
THE CANDIDATE: To be successful as a Fermentation Technologist you will hold a degree qualification or have knowledge within a biotechnology related subject with knowledge of engineering and or operations. To be able to demonstrate a track record of initiative, teamwork, management control and delivery. A strong technical background and experience of working on a complex processing plant is essential.
