JOB TITLE: Skilled Sheet Metal Welder/Fabricator

SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary based on experience, Company pension Scheme, sick pay scheme, 26 days annual leave + Bank Holidays

WORKING HOURS: Full-Time 37.5 hours pw

THE ROLE:
Based in Ross-on-Wye, our client is recruiting for a time-served Sheet Metal Welder/Fabricator.
You will have a minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent, coded to BS4872 for TIG welding and experienced with stainless steel. The ability to work from CAD drawings with minimal supervision is essential.

This varied role includes working on bespoke solutions for the waste water industry, and will require meticulous attention to detail, with day to day duties to include setting and operating robotic welding equipment using MIG and laser welding, (training will be available on laser welding).

The ideal candidate for the role of Skilled Sheet Metal Welder/Fabricator will have the ability and ambition to expand their existing skill set and further develop their career in this field.
For the right candidate, there is genuine future opportunity to participate in further related engineering projects and progression to technical aspects of robotic welding.

Key experience essential for the Skilled Sheet Metal Welder/Fabricator role:
  • Hold a minimum NVQ L3 or equivalent within Welder/Fabricator - Essential
  • Have prior experience within TIG and MIG welding - Essential
  • Have previous experience with laser welding, however, this is not essential as training will be provided
  • Be coded to BS4872 for TIG welding
  • Previous experience with Stainless Steel
  • The ability to read CAD drawings with minimal supervision is essential
