Rate: GBP250 per day
Job Summary
- Lead manager for effective delivery of all day-to-day business processes associated with Individual Funding Requests.
- Responsibility for management of processes and systems for the management, approval and funding of designated home treatment packages, such as total parental nutrition (TPN).
- Support the IFR Manager in managing the approach to Low Priority conditions/treatments, consideration of applications to develop New Treatments and adoption of designated NICE mandatory guidance.
- Provide an expert resource, in relation to the Low Priorities policies, Individual Funding Requests policy and IFR process.
- You will be expected to Matrix work with colleagues in information, finance, and other service segments, working coherently together to meet our customer needs. The post holder will build excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, conducting themselves in accordance with client organisational principles and values at all times.
Experience and Knowledge
- Knowledge of the commissioning cycle, business cycle, operating framework and infrastructure and governance
- Understanding of funding systems, how evidence of effectiveness is applied in policy development and how effectiveness is measured
- Up-to-date understanding of all aspects of Choice policy and the inter-relationship of access and choice
- Good appreciation of the type and importance of systems, contractual arrangements, handling of funding outside contracts for individual patients
- Experience of interpreting information, distilling key messages and themes
- Experience of identifying and interpreting National policy.
Education and Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Experience of leadership/management.
- Experience of working in IFR and Prior Approvals services.
