Due to the continued growth of our business we currently have a vacancy for a Group Health and Safety Manager.

Based in the UK and within commutable distance of our sites the successful candidate will report to the Director of Performance and be responsible for creating and delivering Health & Safety Strategy, Key Performance Indicators, Development plans, leading in the development of Health and Safety Systems in line with the CRH Life Saving Rules framework and directing site management in delivering Health and Safety improvements.

Responsibilities will also include:

• Strategic planning for the integration of new businesses
• Developing and controlling site management plans and RAMS as required
• Leading in accident investigation and analysis
• Liaising with company and group stakeholders
• Managing and reviewing the Health and Safety CX program submissions
• Preparation and development of Health and Safety Project Management, Gantt Chart and Gateway Reviews
• Ownership of the CRH 16 Life Saving Rules process
• Execution of the internal and external CRH audit
• Approval of all Health and Safety documentation

The ideal Group Health and Safety Manager applicant must have previous experience in a Health and Safety Managerial role at a senior level, with multi-site responsibility and within a fast paced manufacturing environment and the ability to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

• 1A NEBOSH Diploma and a CSCS or CSR card
• An in depth knowledge and understanding of manufacturing industry processes
• Drives results through high level communication skills and the ability to persuade others
• Develops talent by driving engagement
• Being resilient
• Having a strategic mind-set
• Drives engagement and ensures accountability
• Ability to travel across all sites
• Experience in RAMS development, Site Managers/Supervisors Safety Training Scheme and PASMA (Scaffolding) Training are all desirable
