An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events Administrator to join Corin based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Founded in Cirencester in the UK in 1985, our products are now distributed globally through subsidiaries in the USA, Australia, Japan, South Africa, Germany, Austria and Italy, as well as through an extensive distributor network across Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.

This role exists for an experienced Events Administrator to join a dedicated team of individuals to work closely with the Global Product Management and Marketing functions within the organisation and to develop and run various sized events. This challenging role will suit individuals who are team players and like to be constantly challenged in their day to day role.

The main purpose of the role is to manage the administration, logistics, support and execution of exhibitions, surgeon and user / developer group meetings.

As an Events Administrator your duties and responsibilities will be

Exhibitions – primary tasks

  • Liaising with appointed exhibition companies on stand designs and logistics to support our annual exhibition calendar.
  • Management of internal exhibition equipment, models, instrumentation etc to support these exhibitions.
  • Liaising with freight handler regarding shipping and handling.     
  • Arranging accommodation and flights for attending Corin personnel and surgeons.
  • Preparation of information packs for attending Corin personnel.
  • Cost containment – managing costs to ensure the exhibition remains within budget.
  • Establishing and maintaining an 18 month forecast of the UK exhibition calendar to include deadlines for podium presentations.
  • On-site attendance to ensure that the exhibition is delivered with an appropriate standard of logistics and administration management.

Surgeon and user / developer group meetings – primary tasks

  • Provide a key role in the planning, preparation and support of the surgeon and user / developer group meetings.
  • Management of internal exhibition equipment, models, instrumentation etc to support these meetings.
  • Liaising with freight handler regarding shipping and handling.     
  • Arranging accommodation and flights for attending Corin personnel and surgeons.
  • Preparation of information packs for attending Corin personnel.
  • Cost containment – managing costs to ensure the meeting remains within budget.
  • ROI - provide reports on the return on investment from these meetings.
  • On-site attendance to ensure that the meeting is delivered with an appropriate standard of logistics and administration management.
  • Compilation of course evaluation summaries post event.         

General tasks

  • Provide holiday cover for the Group Head of Events and Marketing Communications and Events Administrator as and when required.
  • Provide cover for Front of House as and when required.

An ideal Events Administrator will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience of managing and co-ordinating events.
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple events and exhibitions to fixed deadlines in order to ensure timely delivery of the events.
  • A high degree of personal responsibility and initiative when liaising with surgeons and distributors.
  • The confidence to communicate with people at all levels whether over the telephone or face to face.
  • A sound knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • A flexible approach to working hours as it requires overseas travel to attend national and international surgeon meetings and exhibitions.
  • To be a strong team player but also have the confidence to work without supervision during the absence of the Group Head of Events and Marketing Communications.
