Construction. 

Full time - 37 hours.

Permanent position.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Leicester College to appoint a Trainer Assessor within the Brickwork department of Construction. The post holder will deliver and conduct training and assessment in College to provide learners with a wide range of skills and knowledge relevant to their main programme of study.  The successful applicant will work as part of a team to ensure success for all learners.

Main responsibilities of the role include delivering practical training and managing assessments in line with awarding organisation guidelines.  The learners you will be responsible for will be drawn from full time, apprentice and adult evening groups.  Post holders are required to undertake preparation as required in order to ensure the delivery of high quality practical learning and assessments to all individuals.

Other duties may include; undertaking planned and reactive maintenance including commissioning and de-commissioning of assessment areas, procurement of materials and apparatus and Health and Safety responsibilities commensurate with the post. Fork Lift Truck driving is a requirement of the role and appropriate training will be provided. The role requires someone who can work flexibly and work effectively as part of a team to deliver high quality learning experiences.

Applicants should hold a relevant level 3 qualification.  Previous experience of working in a training environment or of working with young people is desirable but not essential as support is available for someone who can demonstrate commitment to developing others.
