We are seeking an individual to join our highly successful team of more than 50 sports staff dedicated to ensuring that an NTU student's lifestyle is much more than lectures and lie-ins.
You will work across Nottingham Trent University two high quality sport centre's with a range of different facilities including: Climbing Wall, Sports Hall, Squash Courts, 3G pitch, indoor Tennis Courts, Grass Pitches, superb Fitness Suites and more.
Working closely with the Sports Facilities Manager, you will ensure the effective, efficient and safe operation of the sports and fitness facilities and outdoor sports pitches, whilst ensuring that NTU students and external customers receive the best possible experience at all times.
With specific responsibilities for the supervision of staff, allocation of work, and promotion and administration of the University sports and recreational programmes, you must possess excellent organisational and planning skills and demonstrate a commitment to gold standard customer service in all aspects of your role. A good knowledge of leisure management software systems is desirable, ideally Gladstone mrm.plus2.
To assist in the continual development of operational and service quality standards, you will need a sound understanding of sport and leisure provision, previous experience of working with a student environment would be also be an advantage, although not essential.
You should have a friendly, outgoing personality, must be reliable and conscientious with good communication skills. In addition, you'll need a flexible approach to work, as the position does involve regular evening and weekend working.
