Deputy Manager vacancy available for Private Day Nursery in Cheltenham paying an attractive annual salary.
A Deputy Nursery Manager job in Cheltenham, offering ??20,000 - ??25,000 responsible for supporting the day to day running of a 60 place nursery that is privately owned.
Your new company
This private day nursery is a large converted house based in Cheltenham. It has places for 60 children with a current staff team of 15. The nursery divides its children into age bandings including babies, toddlers or pre-school. This nursery is well established in the Cheltenham private day nursery market.
Your new role
Your daily duties will involve the running of the nursery on a day to day basis in the absence of the manager, show rounds, supporting the manager and most importantly working within one of the rooms. You will need to be able to work independently and have strong time management skills in order to prioritise what needs to be done. This role will require you to work 40 hours between 7:45am - 6:15pm across Monday - Friday. Between you and the nursery manager you will open or close each day.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a minimum of Level 3 in childcare, ideally with a qualification in management. You will have previously worked as a deputy nursery manager or room leader and be competent in using IT. You will need a strong understanding of the EYFS, policies, procedures, Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and child protection.
What you'll get in return
The nursery are willing to pay an extremely attractive salary for the right person. This is ??20,000 - ??25,000 a year. You'll receive the training and support you require to settle into this nurseries routine from a detailed handover with the current deputy nursery manager. The current deputy nursery manager has decided to leave after wanting to go to part time hours.
