If you are reading this, then you are probably somebody I'd like to speak with...

A leading civil engineering consultancy that provides expert advice and professional services to the development industry for both private and public sector clients seeks a Senior Project Manager to join their infrastructure design team!

The Job:

As a Senior Infrastructure Design Project Manager, you will regularly present evidence on transport, highways and infrastructure related matters as expert witness at planning appeals and inquiries.

You will be working from a friendly office in the South West, ideally placed for the Cotswold's, the English Riviera and other attractions. It is a great environment to work in, and the offices are easily accessed from the M4/M5 and the mainline station is just a short drive away. Facilities are provided for cyclists and the nearby rail station is very handy!

The Fit:

Can you produce high-quality infrastructure designs, secure approvals, and manage clients and their projects?
Can you deliver projects on time to attain complete satisfaction and build relationships to new and existing clients?
Have you mentored and supervised junior staff?
What about preparing fee proposals, bills of quantities, and programme within budget?

Do you eat the following for breakfast: Sect 104, Sect 106, oh and: Sect 278, Sect 38 followed by lashings of DMRB and Manual for Streets?

If yes, then you might be what we're looking for!

Often, the biggest steps forward in your career present themselves when you are not actively looking. This could be the career advancement that you have been waiting for!

The Experience:

A graduate MEng 2.1 or similar. You'll have in-depth experience in highways and drainage design and/or flood risk (a minimum of 10 years). Experience in DMRB and County standards. You are also good in written and verbal communication skills. A team player with a positive attitude, and able to adapt to change when necessary. Ability to use PDS/AutoCAD/Micro Drainage is a must and knowledge of ARCADY would be really useful!

Just so we are clear and before you check out the package; you will be expert in gaining technical approvals, have a large dose of consultancy experience and be very strong on design. Sure, you could be experienced in delivery and that would be of great interest but we'd need to talk design and design!
