An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Requirement Engineer to work within Central Government on a contract basis. This position is based in Bristol, initially until May 2017 offering up to ??390 per day ltd.
Main Duties:
The Air Dominance & Suppression Project Team (ADS PT) is a DE&S PT within the D Weapons Operating Centre. The PT has responsibility for the logistics support and new system procurement/capability improvements for the UKs air-air missile systems (including Meteor, ASRAAM & AMRAAM) and in the Selective Precision Effects At Range (SPEAR) Capability 3 & the Storm Shadow Weapon System (SSWS).
Technical support to cover a gapped Requirements Manager post in support of SPEAR Cap 3 (SC3), Storm Shadow and Brimstone weapons. The period through to Jun-17 is vital for the SC3 programme in ensuring the CONOPS for F-35, Network Enabled Weapons (NEW) and Mission Planning are developed and agreed before the detailed F-35 Block 4.2 requirements planning work, the Engineering Manufacture Definition (EMD) phase.
Support will be required to requirement setting, CONOPS development, ITEAP development and liasing with stakeholders in DE&S and Air Command.
UK travel maybe required to London, Air Warfare Centre or Air Command
Develop and up-issue UK Network Enabled Weapons (NEW) Concept of Operation (CONOPS).
Lead pan-DLOD work for introduction of UK NEW and progressive acceptance of SC3
