Medirest is part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, who provide a full range of Hotel Services (including staff, patient and visitors catering, domestics, portering and security) at over 130 NHS Trust and private hospitals Main responsibilities The team at the Wheelchair Enablement Centre in Bristol, are looking to for enthusiastic and commited working supervisors/team leaders to join their team! Due to the location of this site, it is essential that you live in a close promixity to Cribbs Causeway. You will either need to be able to drive (there is parking on site), or can easily access the site via bus or walking. Monday - Friday: 4-8pm (20 hours per week) Main Duties & Responsibilities To undertake cleaning duties as required To regularly audit performance and quality and report to line manager daily To encourage and motivate staff. To assist in maintaining a high level of service and customer care. To organise rotas, annual leave, overtime, work schedules, allocation sheets and ensure safe and economical coverage of all areas using resources available. To identify staff training needs and inform your line manager. To train and coach staff when appropriate. To conduct return to work interviews. To ensure that staff present a professional image e.g. by wearing the correct uniform, personal protective equipment and meeting personal hygiene standards. Ensure that the Company is being positively represented at all times. Ensure the correct economical use of all resources and identify any cost benefits. To maintain effective liaison and establish a good relationship with the client on site and assist in ensuring excellent standards are met. To ensure the effective cleaning of all areas and to ensure the effective collection and disposal of refuse. To conduct all paperwork relevant to post. To arrange cover in the absence of domestic assistants via line manager. To comply with Company Policies and Procedures To follow the Company's Equalities Policies in relation to other staff, customers and members of the Group, at a level appropriate to the post To undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department. There may be a requirement for travel to other sites as the need arises, so ability to drive and have own transport would be desirable. Mileage will be reimbursed. There may also be the necessity for overtime on occasions, but advance notice of this will be given. Knowledge and experience of BICS cleaning standards and microfibre cleaning systems would be advantageous, but full training will be given.
