Brunel is recruiting a Senior CAD Technician for a highly reputable Engineering company based in the South West. They are looking for a passionate and driven individual to provide high quality sustainable design and project delivery and meet client requirements within their key market sectors.
Key Responsibilities & Duties (including but not limited to):
??? Dealing with complex designing and drafting assignments
??? Developing 2D and 3D models and working drawings from sketches or descriptions developed by Engineers
??? Working closely with Engineers to ensure model accuracy, design, drafting standards and design documentation
??? Reviewing drawings for completeness and accuracy
??? Working with Designers, Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design
??? Providing technical assistance and solutions to the rest of the team in a timely manner
??? Actively participate in project meetings and conference calls as required
??? Preparing the appropriate Engineering documents for customer submittal
??? Assisting in team design reviews in order to evaluate design concepts, making improvement recommendations where appropriate
??? Working closely with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
??? Ensuring all work completed is in compliance with company design, safety, quality, environmental compliance and procedural standards
??? Liaising with clients to establish needs and discuss designs, as well as agreeing requirements
The Person:
??? The ideal candidate will have proven CAD experience within construction or civil engineering
??? A solid understanding of all aspects of civil, structural and building design
??? Ideally qualified to HNC level or higher in a relevant subject
??? Proven knowledge of the appropriate legislation, hazards and safe systems of work
??? Previous experience with AutoCAD 2D and 3D, TEKLA, PDMS, Civils 3D and 4D Modelling
