We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Director to take the role of Director of Sales at our client's new Hotel opening in Bath.

As our client prepares to open their new flagship Bath Hotel in summer 2017, we're looking for a dynamic Director of Sales with experience of the 4 / 5-star market to join them.

You will head up sales and events at a new-build property that will be Bath's largest hotel in terms of guest bedrooms and conference & events space.

Director of Sales - The Role
The successful candidate will lead and manage all pre-and post-opening activity related to the hotel sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based relationships that enable achievement of the property's revenue objectives. The role also involves defining the Sales & Events strategy for the hotel in conjunction with Hotel General Manager / central support and executing this strategy with the sales and events team to maximise accommodation and Conference & Event sales.

This position will be based in Bath but travel to client and agent offices both nationally and internationally will form a part of the role.

Other responsibilities include:
??? Managing all Sales, Events and Business Development activity for the hotel
??? Conducting sales research and sales activity telesales, site/hotel show rounds, entertaining, attending relevant trade shows, client evenings and fam trips to grow market share
??? Participating in the preparation of the annual budget and business plan
??? Managing and motivating the sales and events team to deliver on financial targets and customer satisfaction
??? Maintaining up-to-date activity reports advising of new business and ongoing pipeline enquiries
??? Analysing and reporting on market information.

Director of Sales - Experience Required
??? Currently in a senior sales role with extensive experience of both rooms management and F&B within volume conference & events.
??? Strong management, strategic and organisational skills gained in a 4 or 5 star hotel.
??? Strong communicator who can drive relationships and is comfortable building local networks to drive sales.
??? Previous experience of having worked on the opening of a new property would be a distinct advantage.
??? Previous knowledge and experience of the Leisure, Corporate and Conference & Events markets in Bath, Bristol and the surrounding area would be a distinct advantage.
