HomeServe is recruiting for a focused and self-motivated Senior Java Developer; with extensive hands on experience of the Spring platform, to join our Global Digital Technology Group in Kings Cross, London.

About the Role

The Senior Java Developer will help rebuild one of our core platforms to micro services architecture for high performance and scalability. You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications, and be responsible for the Java/Spring application development while providing expertise in the full software development life cycle, from concept and design to testing.

The Senior Java Developer will:

• Have established software development experience within the Java ecosystem
• Have commercial experience of using the Spring platform (Spring, Boot, Data, Integration) and be familiar with design patterns, project oriented concepts & clean code.
• Have experience of developing and deploying microservices in production,
• Distributed Source Control Software experience ideally git/github & gitflow
• Have experience of working in an agile environment.
• Have experience of using TDD and BDD
• Continuous Integration & delivery with Teamcity/Jenkins and knowledge of Docker
• Have excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA, Hibernate)
• Working knowledge of NoSQL products like MongoDB and Elasticsearch
