Working hours: Permanent, 40 hours per week - shift rotation

We are delighted to be working on behalf of an innovative residential resource for children/young people aged 5-18 years throughout Fife. They currently have accommodation for up to 11 children/young people within three different projects.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Residential Child Care Workers to undertake this very challenging, yet rewarding role. You will have a special role in working with children/young people who are experiencing social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for delivering a high quality service that meets the criteria of the National Care Standards and the Code of Practice for Social Service workers.

Key duties as Residential Child Care Workers to include:
  • Support children with their day to day care needs
  • Act as a mentor and lead by example
  • Assist with educational needs of children and young people
  • Attend meetings as and when required
  • Other general daily tasks as required

The ideal candidate candidate for this role will possess or be working towards a HNC in Social (or equivalent) and SVQ in Care at Level 3 or 4, although this is not essential.
