THE COMPANY: Our client is one of the London Stock Exchange top 1000 companies to inspire and is a fast growing multi-disciplined Engineering Companies. As part of a large government sector instruction, our client, based out of Runcorn, Manchester, is looking to acquire talent in the form of M&E Surveyors throughout the UK.

THE ROLE: As an M&E Surveyor, you will be tasked with completing stock condition surveys (of Mechanical & Electrical bias) at a number of DOE establishments across the UK. This will include the undertaking of pre-survey meetings with school representatives and working in conjunction with Building Surveyors. The resulting data collated will then be used to populate the asset management system via tablet and bespoke software reporting on the condition of the stock and surrounding areas, along with other legislative requirements being recorded. You will travel to, from and between survey locations via a company provided vehicle.

Key Responsibilities to include:
  • Completing stock condition surveys of Mechanical & Electrical bias
  • Undertaking pre-survey meetings with school representatives
  • Working in conjunction with Building Surveyors
  • Collating data
  • Populating asset management systems
  • Travelling across the UK
THE CANDIDATE: To be considered for the position of M&E Surveyor, you will have a degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering and will hold a full UK driving licence. Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience assessing M&E condition and experience surveying education establishments. You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and colleagues, will be IT literate and comfortable using tablet-based technologies. A self-motivated attitude and ability to prioritise and work to deadlines is essential, alongside excellent communication skills. You must be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS.

Key experience essential for the role:
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience assessing M&E condition (although less will be considered)
  • Ability to establish a good working relationship with clients and colleagues
  • IT literacy
  • Self-motivated attitude
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
