Chef Manager - Commercial B&I Contract Catering

Location: Birmingham

Salary: GBP27,000 per annum

What are we looking for....?

We are looking for a foodie Chef Manager who can deliver excellent modern food for a high-end Head Office Environment. You will have a strong eye for detail, financial capability to achieve Sales, GP and Labour targets in this commercial site, possess the ability to satisfy client requests and manage a team of colleagues, whilst handling the pressure of working with Executive Directors.

This role will involve a level of cooking but primarily this will be a front of house role, managing a team with a strong focus on retail and an excellent dining facility. This contract is fully commercial so a manager with solid commercial finances is essential.

This is not your average contract and will demand excellence. We are looking for someone energetic and passionate about the industry and can really deliver on all key service points.

Responsibilities:


Proactive management of catering team.
Craft trained is essential - you will be expected to get your hands in the flour and it's necessary you can deliver excellent food as well as leadership.
Accountable for ensuring ongoing team communications, including building internal and external relationships, management reporting and client liaison to enable operational excellence.
Accountable for maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget.
Responsible for innovative menu planning, and design of food service within specified budgets ensuring high standard of food presentation and portion/quality control.
Accountable for creating a platform for financial growth through cost control and culinary excellence.
Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customer and colleagues.
Experience in commercial head office environments would be advantageous.
