Asset Manager - Defence

An Asset Manager with defence experience is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Preston.

This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK defence company.

Overview of the Asset Manager contract role

You will be required to manage the day to day operation of asset tracking and management systems as well as undertake asset receiving activities for our defence client. The role includes key responsibilities for asset management and ensuring any assets are compliantly managed from receipt into the business, throughout integration or development activities and through onward delivery to the customer.

Key responsibilities required for the Asset Manager

  • Co-ordinate onward shipping and export activities with key stakeholders.
  • Undertake regular asset confirmation and housekeeping audits.
  • Support collaborative working with counterparts at customer locations to ensure accurate asset tracking and management records.
  • Adherence to export regulations is essential to ensure compliance in all asset management and shipping activities.

The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds.
