Electrical Technical Lead

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for a global pharmaceutical organization as an Electrical Technical Lead. The Electrical Technical Lead role oversees the electrical safety program and provides electrical engineering development & facilitation for continuous improvement projects. Provides maintenance trade support to ensure that pharmaceutical equipment and supply services operate consistently, reliably and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Duties Include:

  • Lead the electrical safety programme and engage with both internal and external parties to ensure processes are current and compliant. To include electrical regulation support to the GO ELS team.

  • Provide electrical engineering project, technical and commissioning support to the ELS maintenance team and allocated engineering projects.
    To include the following:

    • Specification and selection of critical parts

    • Development and review of planned and preventative maintenance tasks

    • Design, specification and selection of electrical systems/equipment.

    • Planning and co-ordination of continuous improvement projects

  • Support the delivery of planned maintenance activities in accordance with work order instructions and associated procedures.

  • Support the delivery of electrical equipment and installation testing in accordance with schedules, documented tasks and electrical standards

  • Ensure critical electrical drawings and schematics are maintained and updated.

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, provide first line diagnostic support to the maintenance teams and arrange for work scheduling, electrical components and (if necessary) technical resources for repairs.

  • Support safe system of work processes including permit issuing, utility isolations, risk assessment and workplace inspections.

You should have:

  • Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship/Training and electrical engineering working experience.

  • Suitable and sufficient qualifications and experience to undertake safe working on electrical systems/equipment.

  • Experience of working within Pharmaceutical Environment

  • Knowledge of GxP in Engineering Applications

  • User level computer knowledge for completing documentation and email.

  • User level knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
