Data Modeller

A growing and successful financial services organisation have an immediate requirement for a Data Modeller to join their high-achieving Decision Science Team based form the Manchester City Centre office. The Data Modeller will join a team that effectively drives the profitability of the organisation, modelling portfolio values and operational activities.

The Data Modeller will have the opportunity to be mentored/coached by experienced team members, and develop a skill-set which will help drive rapid career progression, whilst still being given the freedom to impart their own personality on the role. You will join a growing team, within a rapidly growing PLC.

To be successful in this role Data Modellers should have:

• A strong numerical aptitude with a degree or equivalent in Mathematics or a related discipline ie Statistics, Physics, etc.
• Commercial awareness/aptitude - the ability to think beyond theory and apply knowledge in a commercial setting
• Some programming experience - ideally SAS or SQL, however the business can train in these languages if you have transferable skills
• Ideally some commercial experience in a related role/field - Business Intelligence, MI, Analytics, Data Science, Programming
