LOCATION: Alnwick, Northumberland
JOB TITLE: Warehouse Depot Supervisor
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive dependent on experience
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Monday to Friday
THE COMPANY: Our client is a successful family run business established in 1938 supplying farmers, growers and packers throughout the country. They are now a leading national agricultural and horticultural input advice and supply company with turnover in excess of GBP200 million. Due to continued successful growth they are now seeking a enthusiastic and dedicated Warehouse Depot Supervisor to join their existing team based in Alnwick, Northumberland.
THE ROLE: This is an excellent opportunity to build and develop a long term career with a successful national company. As the Warehouse Depot Supervisor you will work under the Depot Manager and initial responsibilities will include warehouse and general duties, arranging deliveries, direct customer contact and other administration tasks. The successful candidate will be trained as part of our client's succession plan and will be invested in heavily in terms of training and development. This is a Trainee role with the view of becoming the position of Agriculture Depot Supervisor once relevant training complete.
Key Responsibilities for the Warehouse Depot Supervisor role in Alnwick, Northumberland include:
- Oversee the operational running of the depot and deliveries
- Speaking to and liaising with reps and customers and understanding their needs
- Processing transactions and orders
- Organise and arrange deliveries
- General administration work such as updating records
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate must have a can do attitude and have experience working in a Sales/Account Management or Customer facing role. You must be physically fit, have excellent spoken and communication skills, good IT skills and also be committed to providing and maintaining high levels of customer service. You must have a driving licence and although not essential holding a forklift licence/qualification would be desirable. Experience or knowledge of agriculture and crop protection products would also be an advantage.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Warehouse Depot Supervisor role in Alnwick, Northumberland :-
- Experience working in a Sales/Account Management or Customer facing role is essential
- Must be a problem solver with a 'can do' attitude who is flexible in their approach to work
- Good IT skills are essential
- Is essential you are committed to providing high levels of customer service
- Driving licence is essential
- Forklift licence or qualification is desirable but not essential
- Although not essential experience or knowledge of agriculture and crop protection products would also be an advantage
