Forensic Casework Administrator

This company is part of one of the largest forensic and DNA testing companies in the world delivering a broad portfolio of DNA and forensic casework services, with a proven international reputation for quality, reliability and service excellence.

They are looking for a Forensic Casework Administrator (fixed-term contract for 12 months) to provide essential administrative support to their scientific staff in the Forensic Casework group with occasional customer interface.

Forensic Casework Administrators undertake demanding and varied roles. You may be required to work in their Sample Reception where you would be responsible for receipting exhibits from crime scenes ensuring their continuity and integrity; as well as arranging for their correct storage or preparing them for return to customers.

This busy and varied role requires the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and meet the challenge of changing priorities throughout the day whilst working to strict standard operating systems. You will need to be focused, highly organised, possess good verbal and written communication skills.

In light of the serious consequences of any error, this role requires meticulous attention to detail, accurate record keeping and a responsible attitude to the work being carried out.

Ideally you should have a good secondary education with GCSE or A levels (or equivalent) in a technical or scientific subject although a convincing application demonstrating relevant experience and enthusiasm to work in a team will be taken into account.
