Description
My client is seeking a hungry junior or solid mid-level SQL DBA to join the team in the heart of Bristol. You will join a forward thinking team of DBA's who own the process from managing to developing and monitoring SQL/Oracle database.
Essential
SQL Server Experience from 2008-2016 in a virtualised environment.
Understanding of relational database design.
Database migration from legacy systems.
Performance tuning and capacity planning.
Detailed knowledge and experience of using HA and DR solutions available in SQL Server.
T-SQL
Backup and Recovery.
Database Security.
TDE.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
SSIS, SSAS and SSRS.
High level understanding of enterprise infrastructure, security, scalability, flexibility, maintainability and reliability.
In addition any of the below skills are desirable
Advanced PowerShell skills
Azure
PowerBI
TFS - Source Control
AlwaysEncrypted
PCI-DSS Controls relating to database security
Monitoring software - Spotlight/SQL Sentry
Microsoft Database Certification.
ITIL
Agile Framework
Knowledge of BI processes and methodology
