Events Operation Manager - The Ned, New Opening

Reporting To: F&B Director

Role Based: The Ned, Poultry, London

We are now recruiting for our new hotel that is one of the most exciting upcoming openings by Soho House & Co and Sydell Group.

Hotel Overview

Originally a bank, the Grade-1 listed building has been developed and restored to hold 252 hotel bedrooms, twelve restaurants and bars, a member's club, a gym, Cowshed spa and two swimming pools, as well as six dedicated event spaces.

Events at The Ned

The Ned offers access to six unique, Grade 1-listed rooms and two terraces - all benefit from natural light and have a dedicated reception area. The rooms retain many original period features, including walnut panelling and chandeliers, in addition to furniture and fabrics designed especially for them.

The private hire spaces have a capacity of between 10 and 200 people. Food and drink menus - ranging from cocktails and canapes to four course meals - can be created by our chefs.

Ideal for weddings, events, and meetings, The Ned also has 252 bedrooms and 12 restaurants and bars.

The Role

As the Events Operation manager, we want you to be the best you can be. You will have a passion for managing events, food and drink and have a hands-on approach. You will be a confident and motivated operations manager who can lead an events team.

What are we looking for:

To successfully fulfil this role, you will have current or previous experience as an events operation manager in an established environment. You will also have:


Exceptional communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
Pro-active and reliable.
Motivational and creates team spirit
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and work on your own initiative, calmly and when under pressure
Brilliant leadership skills with focus on team's development, training and progression
Excellent guest service skills with a background of exceeding and maintaining the guests' expectations
To consistently deliver the very highest of standards to ensure the department and hotel is represented accordingly
Must have the ability to lead, multi-task, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment;
